SANDWICH PANEL

Sandwich Panels

Sandwich panels are a practical and cost-effective solution for protecting structures from external factors while providing strong support. As modern, lightweight, and durable building elements, sandwich panels are used for covering roofs and facades of buildings, creating insulated interior partitions, or for cold storage.

These panels, which protect your building from external elements by being placed on all four sides and the roof, are manufactured by filling the space between two thin, high-density metal surfaces with a thick, low-density insulation material. These building elements, with high load-bearing capacity despite their low weight, are produced in continuous lines, ready for installation.

Different insulation materials should be selected based on the building’s needs. Sandwich panels are produced with all types of insulation, including PUR, PIR, Mineral Wool, and EPS. The appropriate type of sandwich panel can be chosen by considering the building’s thermal, humidity, sound insulation, and fire resistance requirements.

Sandwich panels are commonly used in industrial facilities, commercial buildings, cold storage, social buildings, power plants, and agricultural and livestock structures.

Service Life of Sandwich Panels

Sandwich panels, a composite product consisting of two metal surfaces and an insulating material, maintain their long-lasting structure when the product components are designed with the right technical specifications according to the building’s needs, environment, and climate conditions.

The exterior surface of the sandwich panels must be resistant to temperature fluctuations, UV rays, and external environmental conditions. The interior surface must be durable against chemical and physical effects caused by the building’s internal environment and condensation.

In addition, the load-bearing capacities of the sandwich panels, which are created using insulation materials suitable for the building’s needs, should be calculated accurately based on the loads they will be exposed to.

After installation according to standards, sandwich panels and their accessories should be checked at least once a year for cleaning and maintenance. Damages caused by environmental conditions should be repaired without delay.

Sandwich Panel Dimensions

Sandwich panels, which can be applied to industrial buildings, social areas, as well as military, agricultural, prefabricated buildings, construction site offices, silos, and more, have a useful width of 1000 mm, and the length can be produced according to the project requirements.

When calculating the sandwich panel dimensions, the insulation thickness should also be considered. The insulation fill types and thicknesses should be selected based on the characteristics of the building.

For the Sandwich Roof and Facade Panels to be used on the roof and facades of your building, the thicknesses according to insulation types are as follows:

  • PUR/PIR Insulation: 40 mm to 200 mm
  • Mineral Wool Insulation: 50 mm to 150 mm
  • EPS Insulation: 40 mm to 150 mm

For Cold Storage Panels, the PUR/PIR insulation thickness ranges from 80 mm to 200 mm, and for Acoustic Panels, the Mineral Wool insulation thickness ranges from 50 mm to 150 mm.

Sandwich Panel Layers

For your buildings, sandwich panels provide thermal, acoustic, and water insulation, as well as fire and load resistance. These panels are produced in three layers: the inner surface, the outer surface, and the insulation layer.

Sandwich Panel Applications

Sandwich panels provide a durable and economical solution for various structures, from factories and stadiums to shopping centers and swimming pools. In addition to industrial buildings and social spaces, sandwich panels are increasingly preferred worldwide for military structures, agricultural buildings, prefabricated structures, construction site offices, silos, and residential buildings. Sandwich panels are emerging as a highly favored product in new application areas.
